TNAPT Spring Newsletter 2010
We are rapidly approaching our Seventeenth Annual Tennessee Summer Play Therapy Institute. This year, we are excited to have Elaine Wittman from North Carolina as our presenter! The conference title is: "The Wizard of Oz: The Power of Myth in Play Therapy". All TNAPT members will be emailed a flyer by Thrs, April 29, 2010. If you dont receive one, please contact Jamie Langley asap.
There is already much anticipation regaring this conference and it should be very successful. This year there is a credit card payment option by going to the "Trainings" page on our website and selecting the PayPal payment button. This is a terrific opportunity to access quality training in close proximity for most of our members at an affordable rate as well as meeting and networking with fellow play therapists. Since the conference is being held at MTSU, we were notable to secure any hotel rooms. Please contact Jamie Langley for any assistance with hotels in the Murfreesboro area.
Paris Goodyear-Brown is continuing to present at various locations around the country. She will be presenting for the Alabama branch on Friday, April 30.
Our website is continuing to grow and we welcome all your thoughts and comments. One feature we want to help promote is Play Therapy Supervision. So if you are an RPT-S in Tennessee and you currently provide either individual or group supervision, please contact Jamie Langley at jlangley@vbhcs.org so that we can get your information included on this website.
Spring is usually a very busy time for play therapists. Enjoy this time but remember to practice self-care and allowing your own time to play. We look forward to seeing many of you at the June conference!
