WHO WE ARE:
The Tennessee Association for Play Therapy (TNAPT) is a state branch of the Association for Play Therapy (APT). We began in 1993 with the specific purposes to bring quality play therapy training locally to Tennessee as well as providing a forum for those interested in play therapy to meet and network.
We have sponsored an annual training each June for over 20 years and are proud to be an APT-approved Continuing Education Provider for Play Therapy. More information can be found on our Conference page. Check out who is coming next!
We could not do what we do without the invaluable support of our council members, past and present. Our board is currently working towards broadening our vision for ways to include smaller, more local and more frequent opportunities for training and networking. Our board (or council) consists of 7 members: 2 from each section of Tennessee (East, Middle and West) and a President to coordinate. Our council members often represent the various types of clinicians (LSCW, PH. D or LPC) as well as areas of work (agency, private and/or academic).
